Vanity Fair's Official 2010 Oscar After-Party

After the show, it’s the after party… Vanity Fair held their annual Oscar party in Hollywood and anyone who’s anyone came out to celebrate with the winners:

Jennifer Lopez and her hubster Marc Anthony of course hit the after party, and J. Lo switched it up to a black fitted gown with feather sleeve detail. Loving this look on her!

Oscar winner Sandra Bullock hit the red carpet with her husband Jesse James showing off her statue. It’s about time she got noticed for her work!

Cameron Diaz switched it up to a shorter, more sophisticated and mature look in this one shoulder glittering number. It’s a good look for her.

Jennifer Hudson came out in a simple flowing gown, in what seemed to be the color of the night- blue. Love this shade of blue, especially on her!

Father/daughter duo Zoe & Lenny Kravitz stuck together for the after party. Loving this duo, true rockstars!

Amber Rose’s relevancy is getting higher and higher every day! She came out to the exclusive A-list event and walked the carpet in this purple satin Origami bust gown. I love how she can go from sex symbol, to tomboy chic, to red-carpet glamazon!

Forest Whitaker hit the carpet with his gorgeous wife Keisha Whitaker. LOVING this look on Keisha! Stunning.

82nd Annual Academy Awards- Arrivals

Posted by Tara Decoda on Mar 8, 2010 in Award Shows, Celebs, Designers, Movies & Hollywood, Red Carpet Style

The biggest night in Hollywood, and the most fabulicous red carpet, went down last night and FM has the best and worst looks broken down for you:

Zoe Saldana, who recently set Hollywood on fire with her roles in Star Trek and Avatar, hit the carpet in Givenchy Couture from its Spring 2010 Paris runway presentation, straight off the runway. The strapless dress with layers of tulle at the bottom, and shades of purple fading into each other was the perfect look for Oscar night! Zoe hit it right out the park, she gets BEST DRESSED from me!

Jennifer Lopez hit the carpet in one of my favorite looks of the night, a sculpted pale-pink Armani Prive gown. Loving this dress, and it sits on her figure well! Jenny has never been one afraid of taking risks, and she turned it up for the Oscars. Loving it! HIT

Mo’Nique, who also snagged the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Precious, hit the carpet with her husband Sidney Hicks. She wore a blue Tadashi Shoji gown with a gardenia flower in her hair- her look was a tribute to the late & great Hattie McDaniel. “The reason I have on this royal blue dress is because it’s the color Hattie McDaniel wore in 1940 when she accepted her Oscar,” she said, clutching her Academy Award. “The reason I have this gardenia in my hair is because it’s the flower Hattie McDaniel wore when she accepted her Oscar”. For those who never heard of Ms. McDaniel, she was the first black woman to ever win an Oscar, and she won it for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Gone With The Wind. That was approximately 60 years ago.Mo’Nique is only the 5th Black women to win an acting Oscar.

First time actress and Oscar nominee Gabby Sidibe walked the carpet in a blue Marchesa gown, with embellishment at the bust and waist. The dress was a perfect fit for her, and she sure does know how to dress for her body! Love the look on her, and apparently she did too because she told Ryan Seacrest “If fashion was porn, this dress is the money shot. You know it.” I hear that, sister! LoL HIT

Carrie Bradshaw Sarah Jessica Parker rocked this satin champagne colored Chanel Couture slim fitting gown, with a twisted leg detail. I definitely think this look is cute on her, but maybe for a movie premiere, not the Oscars. MISS. Sidenote: I always think this when I see her, but it’s something about her eyes. Can’t quite put my finger on it…

Lookbook: 16th Annual Elle Women In Hollywood Tribute

Posted by Tara Decoda on Oct 20, 2009 in Award Shows, Celebs, Fashion For A Cause, Movies & Hollywood, Red Carpet Style

It’s here again, when the fabulous worlds of fashion and female empowerment collide to honor all the women in Hollywood- from newcomers to legends- who have made a mark and paved the way. It all went down last night in Beverly Hills at the Four Seasons Hotel, and I can say everyone “shut it down” (as Rachel Zoe would say):

katie cassidy ELLE

Katie Cassidy wore a sparkling halter Lela Rose dress, Jimmy Choo sandals, and a Celestina clutch. The fit was great on her, love the pulled back hair, and I die for a smoky eye!

katie holmes ELLE

Modest mama and honoree Katie Holmes kept it simple and plain in Azzedine Alaia, but on trend with a sheer see-through top. I would have loved to see Katie up the glam factor, but what can we say? It’s Katie, Mrs. Cruise if ya’ nasty!

jenna elfman ELLE

A pregnant Jenna Elfman showed off her baby bump in a Richard Sorger mini dress with fringe sleeves, Miu Miu sandals, Leyla clutch, and really dope Erickson Beamon necklace and ring. Love this look!

zoe saldana ELLE

Honoree Zoe Saldana, who was awarded the Calvin Klein Collection Spotlight Award, wore none other than Calvin Klein Collection fresh off the runway, and Christian Louboutin pumps. Love this look on Zoe, I also love how she’s finally getting the recognition she deserves as an actress after so many years in the game.

amber rose ELLE

Ford model Amber Rose came out rocking a strapless red mini with ruffle side detail, and YSL pumps. It’s an unusually understated look for the Rose garden but the lashes are hot (although you can’t see it here). But, umm, is that a name chain she’s wearing? Toto, you’re not in Philly anymore.
