Zoe Saldana is slowly starting to become one of the most fashionable faces in Hollywood, and while it all may be credited to a Grade-A stylist, its still a style most people want. She recently stepped out to the “World of Calvin Klein” event during Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2011 in Germany recently, and as the new face of the brands sexy underwear line, of course she had to look her best:

She rocked a Calvin Klein original and looked great in it, but with Calvin Klein retailing anywhere from $100 to $1,000, who has the money for that? I found this ASOS cut out on shoulder body con dress for $40.58! Now, that’s a good deal!

Zoe Saldana’s career has gained a significant boost over the past year-and-a-half, and her momentum still hasn’t slowed. Aside from her prestigious magazine covers and numerous awards, she can now add endorsement darling to the list of adjectives used to describe her.

She has joined the likes of Eva Mendes and Mechad Brooks as the face of Calvin Klein’s underwear models. She will be modeling the brands new line of underwear, Envy, and CK has released a preview of their first ad with her. About her new gig, she had this to say:
“Calvin Klein has always put forth such beautifully executed campaigns,” the Avatar star says in a statement. “It’s very exciting for me to be associated with such an iconic, globally recognized brand like Calvin Klein Underwear.”
The ad’s will make their debut in October.

Designers,
High-End,
Seriously? That's Strange
Calvin Klein has finally realized what the rest of the world has already realized: size 0 is unhealthy and a pretty unrealistic portrayal of what all women look like, so they have decided to go with a more “healthy” and “realistic” size 4 (my words, not theirs):

Here is the story from Huffington Post:
Calvin Klein creative director Francisco Costa has done away with casting size 0 models, Fashionologie reports. Christopher Michael of 1 Management tweeted, “Calvin Klein has discontinued their use of the Size 0-2 Models and traded them in for a 2-4…a sign of the times indeed,” and size 4 Lara Stone is rumored to be the face of Calvin Klein come fall. Think of it as another small step for woman; we’ll let you know when the leap for womankind happens.
For all who don’t know or can’t remember who Lara Stone is, she is the model who donned Black paint for French Vogue’s controversial “Blackface” spread. This is definitely a stepping stone in fashion.

Generation NeXt,
Models
I am officially initiating ”Generation NeXt” as a fixture feature on FM. It will feature a new model on the come up that you should look out for. First up 15-year-old Jamaican new girl Shena Moulton:

Shena first splashed on the scene during the Spring 2010 season, strutting for Calvin Klein, one of the 3rd black models to walk for the label in recent history. She then caught the attention of Paris designers, who booked her at Kenzo, Anne Valerie Hash, and Louis Vuitton. And that was just her first season. The budding teenager picked up pace for the current Fall/Winter 2010 season walking for BCBG Max Azria, Herve Leger (above pic), Tommy Hilfiger, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Calvin Klein. We expect to see more from this busy bee in the near future.
