The Teen Choice Awards went down over the weekend in Universal City, CA and it brought the stars out. While most years brings out a casual look, this year, for some reason, was turned all the way up. Stars brought out their Sunday’s best, and Kim Kardashian was no different:
The reality star, who took home the award for Choice Female Reality Stars along with her sisters & Choice Reality TV Show for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, went with a black asymmetrical Zuhair Murad dress, with embellished shoulder detail and draping through out. She paired the dress with classic black silk Casadei pumps. Love Casadei! Love the look on her, and she rarely disappoints on the carpet!
AMC’s hit show Mad Men is doing more than filling our void of old-school corporate America running, but vintage sixties fashion as well!
Ever since HBO’s hit show Sex & The City went off the air, no show has built up that fashion excitement until now. Mad Men is everywhere, and most of the time no one is talking about the intricate plot twists, because there are none. The show has not only done a good job putting unknown actresses and actors on the map, but the shows costume designer Janie Bryant has had a pretty significant boost of popularity as well. With an upcoming sixties inspired QVC line and book, she can be easily regarded as Patricia Field 2.0, but she has surpassed that with her foray into the beauty field. She has teamed up with LA-based nail polish line Nailtini for a line of Mad Men–inspired fall shades. The line, which includes “Bourbon Satin” and “French 75″ hits CVS’ Beauty 360 and Duane Reade’s Look stores this fall.
Find out more about Mad Men and catch up on episodes here, and watch it every Sunday at 10/9c on AMC!
Praises due to the most high! I have learned that one of my spots to find super chic duds for a not-so-killer price is finally going e-commerce!
I have always bitched and moanded about the fact that H&M and Zara were the only two great spots to shop that did NOT have online shopping options. Well, at least H&M didn’t have US online shopping options. It looks like Zara’s e-store is going live on SEPTEMBER 2nd! That’s right, exactly one month from now you will be able to have Zara delivered to your doorsteps, no matter where you are! I mean, sure a half-an-hour drive beats the hell out of a 7-day delivery, but its nice to have options. Right? Right.
As the 1,097,546,889th celebrity to rock the Christian Louboutin Clou Noeud slingback pumps, Jada Pinkett Smith paired the black version of the shoes with a black sleeveless dress, to the 1,097,546,889th premiere of The Karate Kid:
From Los Angeles, to Spain, to Norway, to London, to Germany, to Mexico, to Dallas, to China, and most recently stopping in Paris, the Smith family is currently the busiest family in Hollywood as they have entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the most premieres for one film (unofficially, of course). Although the film was released long over a month ago in the US, The Karate Kid is still being premiered in countries all over the world! Jada has been there for her baby boy, and hasn’t missed a step along the way. For the Paris premiere of her son’s film, Jada rocked a sophisticated all black look, adding a bit of spunk with her spiked Christian Louboutin sling backs. I think I’m definitely more obsessed with her hair than anything. I really love this blunt bang look on her. This is one fab chica!
Between Selena Gomez and Keke Palmer, I think its pretty a set tie on who is the best dressed teen star. While Miley Cyrus is running around wearing next to nothing, the Nickelodeon star kept it cute, and might I add appropriate, in a Reem Acra dress at the Univision Premios Juventud Awards at BankUnited Center in Miami on Thursday:
The one-shouldered white cocktail dress, with side draping, looked clean and cute on the 17-year-old (who will be turning 18 in a matter of days). She finished the look with shimmering peep-toe Christian Louboutin evening pumps. Loving this look on her! Her new film, Ramona and Beezus, will be in theaters July 23!
Freida Pinto recently stepped out to the premiere of “The Last Airebender: 3D” looking uber fabulous:
She wore a Oscar de la Renta structured one-shoulder dress from the Resort Spring 2011 collection. The dress came equipped with a skinny black belt, and she accessorized it with a black satin Roger Vivier clutch and completed it with a peep-toe pump. I love this look, and love me some Freida Pinto!
Zoe Saldana just keeps hitting, as it related to fashion. She hit the carpet for the Bing event looking super cute and chic. People need to understand, you don’t have to do too much to look good, and Zoe proves that:
Rocking a ruffle hipped Herve Leger dress, and pewter Salvatore Ferragamo peep-toe pumps. She was color coordinated without being mitchy-matchy, TAKE NOTE! Although I will be doing a post going into greater detail on how to coordinate without necessarily matching.
Cameron Diaz made a promo stop to “Good Morning America” for her new film with Tom Cruise “Knight & Day” yesterday, rocking a cute casual look:
Now this is how you do dressy casual! Pairing a pale blue blazer, with a white tank, silk ivory shorts, and Chloe wedges. She accessorized the look with a clear plastic bangle and long gold link chain.
Jada Pinkett Smith wasn’t just a winner on the Tony Awards main stage (she, along with her hubby Will Smith & Jay-Z won for Best Sound Design of a Musical for their production Fela!), but on the red carpet as well! Rocking a strapless crimson hand-pleated fan cocktail dress, with embroidered waist and hem by Marchesa, she let the dress do all the talking. By rocking black patent Christian Louboutin pumps to complete the look, and minimal accessories, the look was perfect for the event. Usually when rocking a strapless dress, a neck piece or long hair is almost necessary, but since the dress was so fancy, it was best she did an up-do and large knob earrings. Loving this look on her!
