“Get your crisp linen on/all white everything/white shoes, white shorts/all white everything”- Tara Decoda

Hmmm, maybe I should be a rapper too. Since Jay-Z declared all black the IT color for the Fall season (or maybe he intended for it to extend beyond that?) I am declaring all white for Spring/Summer 2010. I mean seriously, who on this planet, or any other for that matter, wants to wear the Sun’s best friend- BLACK! Unless you have a [literal] burning desire to melt this summer, I suggest you take my advice.

It was first announced that high-end hat designer Eugenia Kim would be designing a range of limited edition hat’s for Target back in November, with pictures being released earlier this year, and now it’s almost here! It’s 8 days away to be exact:

Her resort style hats are just in time for Spring time, and perfect for the beach babe or world traveler. Here’s what she had to say about the inspiration behind the collection:
“I was obsessed with the old-school Latin resort thing,” Eugenia Kim says. “I went to the press preview a few months Read more…

What Not To Do
Yes, us ladies have our “oh no she didn’t come out her house and think that was cute” moments, but you guys are habitual line steppers when it comes to what not to wear. Here’s a few things I don’t want to see this summer at all:
ED HARDY:

Unless Christian Audigier is cutting you thick checks to wear Ed Hardy, this is definitely at the top of the list for what not to wear. The graphic t-shirt thing is so 5 years ago, so unless you’re the newest cast member on Jersey Shore, don’t do it!
WALLET CHAINS:

I don’t want to hear any excuses, no justifying its convenience, just don’t do it. Okay? Unless you’re going through an Usher-esque mid-life crisis, this is not okay.
SUNGLASSES IN THE CLUB:

I don’t care who you are, what the occasion is, or what you do for a living. I’ve seen this one too many times and it’s not attractive, not to mention it’s a safety hazard. Now you’re risking spilling a drink on a young ladies dress who has to return it in the morning- now she can’t get her money back.

Rihanna has been spotted lately in one of may favorite looks: dresses & sneakers.

I absolutely love pairing dresses with sneakers. It’s girly but still says “I can get dirty with the boys” (not like that!). Seems like Little Miss Sunshine herself got tired of wearing heels while out & about and when unnecessary. Other celebs who have played with this pairing:

See, it’s not so bad after all. Would you wear jeans with sneakers??

I have been seeing a certain pair of Tom Ford sunglasses popping up everywhere and the most recent was on Vanessa Simmons on an episode of Run’s House from their new season. But she wasn’t the only one:

I absolutely love these shades and leave it to me to find them for you:
(Kimora’s) Tom Ford Yvette Contour Sunglasses $360, INTERMIX
The ones that Jessica & Halle has on are the most popular pair:

The ever stylish Victoria Beckham was spotted shopping at The Grove in L.A. wearing an Emilio Pucci mini dress, dVb sunglasses, Miu Miu hand bag and gladiator heels. I absolutely love this look and I love mini dresses (especially if it has a print!) but who has $700 to spend on an Emilio Pucci original? So I have for you her whole look for less:

Here’s her look:
Voom by Joy Han Titan Mini $131, Revolve Clothing

Gryson for Target Zip Satchel $15.99, Target

Chinese Laundry Bobbi $73, Zappos

H81 1201 Sunglasses $8.90, Forever 21
This is a good look!

Not like that, I’m talking about their hair. With summer in full swing and fall right around the corner more and more celebs are cutting off their long lock’s. I did a post about the short hair trend back in May when I first started my blog and a lot of more Hollywood A-Lister’s are hopping on board:

I absolutely love the short hair trend and I have tried it before, last summer I took it off and rocked the bob and swore to God I was Rihanna! LoL. If you haven’t tried it I recommend you try it, if only once. On the upside, it’s easier to maintain and handle, it’s more stylish and works with everything, it’s versatile- it can be funky, edgy, classy, mature, which ever look you want, it works for young & old, and hair grows back so don’t think you’ll be doomed for ever!

I don’t usually post video’s but the release of Rihanna’s “Disturbia” [directed by Anthony Mandler], in which she declared it to be this “summer’s anthem”, just blew my mind! It’s innovative, it’s funky, it’s fresh, it’s new and not to mention the fashion in the video is as usual HAUTE! Check it out and let me know what you think:

My how she’s grown as an artist. Do you love it or do you love it?

Ashanti has been making her rounds in the NYC at different events and making appearances, all in the good name of her new single “Good Good”. Her PR team has definitely been keeping her relevant during the promotion of her new album and her glam squad is making sure she looks good while doing so:

She hit up the ‘Sephora Celebrates Ten Years Of Gorgeous at the Angel Orensanz Foundation’ event with her mom-ager Tina Douglas in this very fabulous floral dress and blue pumps to match.

Love this look. A lot. Check out her make-up: Read more…

Sometimes the best looks we see on celebrities and want for ourselves, isn’t the red carpet looks. The simplest looks are sometimes the ones that intrigues us. The look we can wear shopping, to lunch, to the beach or just for a day out doing nothing. Keri Hilson recently made an appearance on TRL in a very cute laid back outfit and I figured I’d find the look and give it to you:

The outfit:

Tank: Stripe Rib Tank Top $6.50, Wet Seal
Shorts: Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Pebble Beach Bubble Shorts $195, Revolve Clothing
Martinez Valero Carissa $149, Zappos
The accessories:

Earrings: Bamboo Hoop Earrings $4.80, Forever 21
Bangles: Studded Bracelet Set $6.80, Forever 21
I couldn’t find the exact same belt, nor anything close to it and I didn’t want to settle. That’s not my style. But this is her complete look (besides the belt) so have fun with it.
