Summer Time And fashion week continues… From Milan, to Paris, to Germany and now state side in Miami, designers have been presenting their collections for early next year, and while we are still shopping around for the perfect swimsuit for this Summer, the Sunshine State is wasting no time preparing us for next Summer- starting with Trina Turk:
Trina Turk opted for brights, pastels and prints for her Swim 2011 collection. With mostly two-pieces sent down the runway, this collection leaves no room for those insecure about letting it all out! With fun, printed cover ups and kaftan’s, its definitely a fun and girly collection. I noticed how obsessed I have become with cork screw heels and wedges. I first got a glimpse of the cork screw style when my old boss from a previous internship rocked a pair of Christian Louboutin slingback peep-toe pumps with cork screw through out, and I will never forget the hot pink lining around the platform. It was sick, but that was 2 years ago. This Summer season, I noticed that cork screw has been making a serious come back:
The corkscrew heel can substitute a nude pump, or a classic black pump because of its simplicity, while still adding a bit of jazz to your look. I found a few pairs of corkscrew shoes that will add pizazz to your Summer wardrobe.

As I was catching up on some blogs after my memorial day weekend, trying to see how everyone else spent their holiday and what they were wearing (since it’s my job), I stumbled across a very familiar outfit that made me stop and look:
Angela Yee (Shade 45’s “Lip Service” and “The Morning After” host) was spotted kicking it in Miami in this Married To The Mob brushed romper. The royal blue romper features silk-like fabric and brushstrokes print. I was able to notice what it was as soon as I saw it because I have this romper! I love my little Married To The Mob romper! Even though it doesn’t fit my tiny little body the way I would want it to, it looks great on Angela.

Everyone seems to have forgotten, or simply were never informed, of what sexy really means. I recently did a 4-part series on what sexy means for the teens, 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s, and to further emphasize how to be sexy without showing or doing too much I will reference an old classic: Baywatch
I remember seeing re-runs of Baywatch growing up, since I was very young when the series was originally airing. The iconic show (which holds the Guinness World Record of being the most watched show in television history, drawing in 1.1 billion viewers a week) was just as iconic as its red one-piece bathing suits, and the constant running. It would make the average person think , either they’re passionate life guards or very sexy track stars. Which ever way, the Baywatch girls were sexy! A red one-piece and long damp hair was enough to make guys lose their minds.
But now-a-days, two-pieces are all the rage. The one piece isn’t sexy enough, it leaves too much to the imagination. Not to mention you didn’t work out all Fall to cover your surfer abs! But who says it’s not sexy? Check out a few of my favorite one-pieces, sexy one-pieces.
