Every season, Nicolas Ghesquière finds a way to defy fashion gravity with Balenciaga. Of course the dresses are bold, for sure the jackets have hard-to-take-in architectural awesomeness, and never mind that the accessories astronomically magnificent! All of that, yes all of that is fabulous, but the money shot is always the shoes:

For the Fall 2010 season, he absolutely blew every other collection out of the water. Lock-heeled loafers and brogues with the soles encased in chunks of plastic, the shoes looked like an impressive, mind-blowing final result of a young fashion enthusiast who stumbled upon her older brothers Lego blocks by accident, and got to building. Obviously composed of some of the finest materials on this planet, this collection was everything but boring and mundane! Forget reinventing the caged bootie, Ghesquière invented the lock heeled shoe! Read more…

My answer is “NO,” but who the heck am I? I’m just a stupid blogger:

Recently worn by Leighton Meester to the Teen Choice Awards recently, these crystal embellished, pom pom detail Christian Louboutin Tsar Pumps, from their F/W 2010 collection is definitely an eye catcher. But in a good or bad way? You be the judge.
WOULD YOU WEAR CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN’S TSAR PUMPS?
You can check out the remainder of the Fall/Winter 2010 collection over at Limité Magazine!

Looks like all that Louboutin rockin’ have caught up with Kim Kardashian’s fast pace life. The cutie-with-the-booty was spotted leaving Serena Williams‘ Pre-ESPY Party in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night with band-aids on the back of her feet:

She camouflaged it well with nude, flesh colored band-aids, but those darling paparazzi lights wasn’t going to let this one pass! Even though her feet were worn out, she didn’t let that take away the pep in her step, and had the bandages went unnoticed, no one would even be able to tell. At least her outfit was super cute: a royal blue silk blouse, Herve Leger pencil skirt and Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps:

But of course, as you all know, I am a gal of solutions. You can check out FootSmart.com for plenty of insole options and foot protectant’s, since taking preventive measure has never hurt anyone. You can also try DSW Shoe Warehouse, which has plenty of half and whole insoles in stock. Ones to put on just the back of your foot, for just the ball of your foot, just the heel, and the top of your twinkle toes. These options are great for the girls that are not necessarily looking for whole foot protection, because honestly, we don’t always need it. Work it out then, girl!

I noticed how obsessed I have become with cork screw heels and wedges. I first got a glimpse of the cork screw style when my old boss from a previous internship rocked a pair of Christian Louboutin slingback peep-toe pumps with cork screw through out, and I will never forget the hot pink lining around the platform. It was sick, but that was 2 years ago. This Summer season, I noticed that cork screw has been making a serious come back:

The corkscrew heel can substitute a nude pump, or a classic black pump because of its simplicity, while still adding a bit of jazz to your look. I found a few pairs of corkscrew shoes that will add pizazz to your Summer wardrobe.

Nicki Minaj’s Summer Jam look had everyone buzzing. Although she hit the stage several times during the annual concert, which brings out the who’s-who of current day Hip-Hop/R&B, it was one look in particular that had tongues wagging:

Rocking a bright dress from Versace’s highly rated Spring 2010 collection, the Queen Bee Harajuku Barbie took the focus off her “rap beef” to focus on her looks. But it wasn’t really her dress that impressed, it was the shoes:

Designed by Jennifer Le of 2BITCHEZDEEP, these “Hell raiser” platform boots are made of lucite, spikes, and other freaky stripper materials. These bad girls will add at least “15 lbs to your set,” as told by the designer. Originally designed with gold spikes, the silver spiked Nicki Minaj wore was custom made for her. You can peep different angles of the shoe Read more…

The military trend is definitely the most popular trend this season, and I recently did a post on the cargo pants trend to prove just that. But of course, with all trends, there is always a certain star to pioneer it. Spearheading the combat boot sector of the military trend is Rihanna, rocking hers every chance she gets:

From the stage to the streets, whenever she gives the 6-inch stiletto a break, she always seem to turn to the combat boot. Now, don’t get me wrong, she didn’t invent or bring this style to the forefront! But her rocking it as frequently as she does definitely makes it a trend to take notice of. Whether you have hundreds to burn or just a couple dollars to spare, if you want in on this trend, FM got you! Read more…

Whoa. This one is a throwback. I was looking at pictures of Kim Kardashian leaving Katsuya last week on the blogs, and noticed something very familiar. Kim K rocked a ruched Dolce & Gabbana LBD and paired it with Burberry Prorsum t-strap sandals. But, I’ve seen these shoes on her before:

She first rocked these Burberry sandals paired with a Herve Leger one-shoulder dress June 2008 while attending her sister Khloe’s b’day party at Pure in Las Vegas (left). I remember because I did a “Who Rocked It Better” post between her and Rihanna when I saw her in the shoe. I also remembered because the photo editor application I was using was giving me a hard time putting the pic of her and Rihanna side by side (and it never did come out right!)
But anywho, when did Kim Kardashian ROCK it? My money is on now.
SIDENOTE: she takes very good care of her shoes, because God knows, 2 years later mines would’ve been a wrap. I think.

In one of her first public appearances since dropping baby Cameron, Lauren London was a presenter at Vh1’s Hip-Hop Honor’s Dirty South, and she looked great!

She rocked a Helmut Lang mini dress and belted Lanvin sandals, with a single chain strap going across the foot with plexi sculpted stiletto. I am a major Lanvin fan, as their shoes have been the case study for many of my ‘Shoegasm’ posts. This is a good look for your girl. You can cop her Lanvin Belted Sandals with Chain for $836.50 here.
And while her Helmut Lang dress may run you $466, you can get the cheaper alternative for hundreds of dollars less! Read more…

Carrie Bradshaw Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted at Narita Airport in Japan, over the Memorial weekend, rocking these Nicholas Kirkwood strappy platform sandals:

She first rocked the sandals while attending the after party for Sex & The City 2 in New York, with a black dress with upper lace detailing. While in Japan she dressed the shoe down with a casual denim and leather jacket look. I actually like both looks for SJP, but what do you guys think?
When did she ROCK it?

Alicia Keys held her annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball in London for her organization, which raises money for HIV/AIDS research and medication for those suffering from the disease in impoverished countries. She came out rocking a petal embellished strapless cocktail dress, with a ribbon around her waist:

While her dress was super-duper-uper cute, the focus was definitely on her spiked pigalle Christian Louboutin pumps!

Man, oh, man! Shoegasm indeed! I would kill a goldfish and drown a turtle for these shoes. *drools*
