So many shows, so little time…

For Day 3, Poko Pano brings sexy to the beach. With slinky two-pieces and mis-matching tops and bottoms (my fave!), stripes and plenty watermelons! The looks were simple and youthful, but fun and definitely very sexy. This is the collection for the girl in her early 20’s… Can you say Spring Break in Miami Beach?

Looks like True Religion has expanded from denim to swim wear, but who knew? Not me… #sueme

Keeping up with the same funky vibe as the denim range, the True Religion swim 2011 collection was filled with details such as faux denim print, plaids, jersey fabric, fringes, ribbons, and a slight military influence. This collection was definitely for the free spirit. Not to mention, it looks like Ms. Christine Teigen is staying busy! Work, girl…

Miami Fashion Week continues, and Day 3 had five designers showing, Mara Hoffman being one of them:

Mara Hoffman decided to add colors, Aztec print, plenty of two-pieces and maxi-dress style cover ups. Multi strapped belly chains, and beading also played apart in this colorful collection, and Mara Hoffman swim wasn’t too much of a far fetch from Mara Hoffman dresses, tops, bottoms, etc. Reminiscent of the 70’s, this collection is for the modern day chic hippie. This collection also proved that the brand is cohesive through out. Read more…

Just four seasons in and I think its safe to say Victoria Beckham is one of my favorite designers, joining the likes of Valentino, Gianfranco Ferre and Versace. She has offered up four solid collections, season after season since Spring 2009, she has delivered us timeless piece after timeless piece. Everything about her collections scream chic, sophisticated, classy, and strictly for a lady. Oh, did I say her collections scream? I meant gently declare, ladies don’t scream:

Structured and fitted to perfection, her attention detail and execution seemingly surpasses most veterans in the game. Unlike most pop stars who decide to venture into fashion, Victoria is truly a connoisseur of fashion and has served us some great moments through out her lifetime. She also emphasizes that she is apart of every step of making, constructing, and executing each piece, and is a perfectionist to the T. And while most pop stars are the only ones wearing their clothes, Victoria Beckham has garnered A-list fans such as Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kelly Ripa, Blake Lively and Jennifer Hudson. She has even gained rave reviews from the most respected names in fashion, including her good friend Marc Jacobs. Read more…

And as Miami Fashion Week continues, Beach Bunny has showed their collection of sexy pool side pieces guaranteed to make anyone ready for a Miami vacation:

Beach Bunny designer Angela Chittenden’s main inspiration for this collection was more bedroom than beach, with lingerie based fabrics such as silk and lace. The exotic collection also featured sparkled two pieces, snake skin lined one-pieces, strapless rompers, and plenty of metallic criss-crossed and cut-out one-pieces. The collection screamed Miami at the top of its lungs, but there plenty of options for everybody, as she sent more than 30 pieces down the runway. Not to mention, her show sent more recognizable faces down the runway than her preceder Trina Turk, such as Christine Teigen (John Legend’s girlfriend; first picture) and Jessica White. Read more…

Summer Time
And fashion week continues… From Milan, to Paris, to Germany and now state side in Miami, designers have been presenting their collections for early next year, and while we are still shopping around for the perfect swimsuit for this Summer, the Sunshine State is wasting no time preparing us for next Summer- starting with Trina Turk:

Trina Turk opted for brights, pastels and prints for her Swim 2011 collection. With mostly two-pieces sent down the runway, this collection leaves no room for those insecure about letting it all out! With fun, printed cover ups and kaftan’s, its definitely a fun and girly collection. Her bikini tops and bottoms are also adorned with color and metal pieces, whether its gold or turquoise beading, there’s a splash of pizazz on every piece.

I just found out about Lefranc Ferrant when I first featured his jumpsuit Kelly Rowland wore in London several seeks ago, and now you can also get a whiff of what his couture style is like:

For this collection, the designer took a page from Christian Dior and seemingly disregarded the run-of-the-mill Fall color palette. He instead opted for bright whites, oranges, and flirty florals. Skinny ribbons and belts cinching the waist, side draping on nearly every piece, and mini action for days, this collection was more picnic in the Summer than Paris in the Fall. Read more…

Offering up an array of different variations of a glamorous Fall, Christophe Josse played it safe (in comparison to other collections) with red carpet ready dresses and typical ’round-the-way detailing:

Draping, strapless dresses and plenty of sheer was the vibe of this collection. Colors were kept to a minimum with plenty of black, and different variations of plum, while embroideries and feather seemed to be the main detail attraction. Balloon shoulders, ruffled hems, maintained top priority and dresses danced playfully on the models. So for the ladies that love fitted gowns, you may not have many options with this collection. The epitome of class. Paris Fashion Week wouldn’t be Paris Fashion Week, couture or otherwise, without the greatest designer of any decade sending his designs down the runway. Valentino, who is retired, has handed over the reigns to Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli and they have stayed true to his legacy and insistence of classic designs:

The collection was a story of romance, and if falling in love for the first time were to be relived through fashion, it would be through this collection. Sweet details included delicate bows, caged frocks, soft ruffles, baby doll silhouettes, rosette’s, feathers, and plenty of sheer and satin. This collection balances innocence and maturity, kind of like making love for the first time- and of course a Valentino collection wouldn’t be a Valentino collection if there was no red dress. When I saw this collection, I instantly thought of Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce Knowles. The two starlets are huge fans of the designer, and this collection proved why. His designs speak to their style souls:

Business suits and red carpet ready gowns walked down the runways past top-notch editors and buyers. Leather jackets, tweed skirt suits, tailored pants, and side draping on skirts and dresses to add structure danced on the models as surprise details such as hidden pockets made certain items that much more enticing. The pleat overlay, embroidery, and sequin on floor length gown made this collection the must wear during awards season. And call me crazy, but it was reminiscent of a Gucci collection. The vibe, hair, make-up… *Kanye shrug* Read more…
