It’s that time of year again, the Primetime Emmy Awards went down in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theater last night, and the stars were shining bright! Of course, some shined brighter than others, and to separate who those were, I have my best & worst dressed for the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards:
BEST:

Heidi Klum never, ever in a lifetime fail to dazzle on a red carpet! No matter the occasion she is always on, and last night was no different. Wearing a strapless, mini rosette Marchesa dress, and spiked Christian Louboutin pumps, she served up style and sass. And the gorgeous diamond necklace and updo definitely topped off the look! Love it!

Kim Kardashian also graced the carpet, and was one of the most fabulous ones to do so! Going with a Grecian goddess theme, she rocked a white chiffon halter gown by Marchesa from the Resort 2011 collection. The jeweled halter definitely served as the perfect neck piece. The simple cuff and stud earrings were minimal, but still perfection. Stunning!

Eva, the red carpet slaya’! Never afraid to take risks or do things unconventionally, Eva Longoria-Parker wore a simply stunning Robert Rodriguez gown, with intricate detailing and mermaid bottom. The look was simple but still very stunning, and although she left the neck naked, she substituted it with dangling earrings. Loving this look for her. She proves you never have to try too hard to look great! Read more…

My answer is “NO,” but who the heck am I? I’m just a stupid blogger:

Recently worn by Leighton Meester to the Teen Choice Awards recently, these crystal embellished, pom pom detail Christian Louboutin Tsar Pumps, from their F/W 2010 collection is definitely an eye catcher. But in a good or bad way? You be the judge.
WOULD YOU WEAR CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN’S TSAR PUMPS?

The Teen Choice Awards went down over the weekend in Universal City, CA and it brought the stars out. While most years brings out a casual look, this year, for some reason, was turned all the way up. Stars brought out their Sunday’s best, and Kim Kardashian was no different:

The reality star, who took home the award for Choice Female Reality Stars along with her sisters & Choice Reality TV Show for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, went with a black asymmetrical Zuhair Murad dress, with embellished shoulder detail and draping through out. She paired the dress with classic black silk Casadei pumps. Love Casadei! Love the look on her, and she rarely disappoints on the carpet!

Keke Palmer took to Twitter for her followers to help her choose her dress for the Kid’s Teen Choice Awards, which we posted and gave our opinions on [I got the ceremony wrong, as you would see]. Looks like she went with choice number…

It’s that time of the year again, where the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards happen and your little sister’s favorite star gets covered in green goo. Ahh, the good times!

Keke Palmer, who has walked the carpet every year since 2007, has been caught in a bit of a dilemma. She can’t choose between 6 dresses of which one to wear:

Choice number 1 was a short sleeved ivory number with a black waist cinch, ruffled layered hem with gray and black. Love this one!

Choice number 2 was a printed sparkling number with and overall purple hue. Its knee length adds a few more years to her age and I’m not too fond of the fit. Read more…

Lauren London looked super cute with her new ‘do and outfit at Sunday’s BET Awards. Rocking a sequin 3.1 Phillip Lim top, with Helmut Lang pants and Charlotte Olympia shoes, it was understated but still fun enough to not be overlooked:

If you loved her perfect-for-Summer top as much as I did, I have found it for you. The actual top and cheaper alternatives, you hear that? Plural.

What They Should've Worn
As usual with most award shows, they’re are complete misses. And for the misses, Fashion Manifesto, being a style development blog, seeks to fix these MISStakes. This years BET awards presented a lot of red carpet misses, so here is my choices of what everyone should’ve worn:
1. Nicki Minaj

As I always say on here, I never want to take someone out of their element, so I want to stay true to what Nicki Minaj was trying to do. As opposed to the vintage number Nicki chose, I chose this Alexander McQueen gown with fishtail burst from his final collection. This dress marks one of the last dresses he made before his passing.
2. Cassie

Cassie disappointed for the first time in a very long time. I want to say she’s never disappointed me, but I won’t push it. I chose this Emilio Pucci draped wool-jersey dress, with a tie back. I would pair this dress with a bold statement necklace, so the neck isn’t so bare. This would have been a good look for her, and its true to Cassie’s signature style.
3. Chilli

Chilli always disappoints, and I do find her style to be very young and amateur. I get if you want to dress like a little girl, but it has to have a dash of grown and sexy. I chose this Oscar de la Renta silk blend dress for her because its playful, flirty, youthful, but still very grown and sophisticated. Not to mention this would be a perfect fit for her petite frame.

BET’s biggest night finally happened last night, and they surely didn’t disappoint! From Kanye West opening the show, to the crazy, sexy and cool Prince tribute, to the emotionally charged Chris Brown performed Michael Jackson tribute, this year’s ceremony was the best it had been in years! Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money crew turned out to be big winners of the night, but the two leading artists disappointed on the carpet. But they weren’t the only ones!

Ciara rocked a black Balmain mini, with gold accents and tassles on the sleeve, pairing it with mif-calf black Giuseppe Zanotti boots. Loved the dress, hated the hair. I’ve seen it a lot more voluminous than this, during girls night out dinners with Kim Kardashian.

Lala Vasquez looked super cute on the carpet in this sequined dress, pairing it with black suede Casadei pumps. Her fiancée Carmel Anthony also looked clean, and fresh alongside his lady.

Jada Pinkett Smith brought along her stylish kiddies, and rocked a onesie, pairing it with a black satin lined blazer. But her kids came looking fly to, not to be outdone by their mother:

Willow Smith and Jaden Smith showcased their individual style, and looked cute while doing so.

Jada Pinkett Smith wasn’t just a winner on the Tony Awards main stage (she, along with her hubby Will Smith & Jay-Z won for Best Sound Design of a Musical for their production Fela!), but on the red carpet as well! Rocking a strapless crimson hand-pleated fan cocktail dress, with embroidered waist and hem by Marchesa, she let the dress do all the talking. By rocking black patent Christian Louboutin pumps to complete the look, and minimal accessories, the look was perfect for the event. Usually when rocking a strapless dress, a neck piece or long hair is almost necessary, but since the dress was so fancy, it was best she did an up-do and large knob earrings. Loving this look on her!

BFF’s Rihanna and Katy Perry both debuted new, colorful looks recently. Both singers rocked out in bright, bold colors over the weekend- Rihanna chose red, while Katy Perry chose blue:

Rihanna rocked hers in Rio Saturday, while performing in the “Rock In Rio Madrid” festival, then stepped out to Mahiki nightclub last night showing different angles of the cut and color. Meanwhile, in LA, Katy Perry rocked her new blue ‘do to the MTV Movie Awards: Read more…
