Michelle Obama: That Girl Is Fancy…

“All she do is shop until she drop, like there ain’t no floor…” The First Lady, Michelle-O, definitely has an all over appeal as it pertains to fashion and style. From J. Crew to Jason Wu, her versatility is evident and her ability to transition from the more affordable to the extremely high-end has allowed for her to be a favorite among designers and considered as an icon:

She turned heads at the White Houses first State Dinner since Obama took office in a Naeem Khan gown, but while she usually plays down her accessories, she decided to go for a  rose-cut, pear-shaped amber and tourmaline earrings by Bochic. The earrings, which was handmade over three weeks by 40 people in India, were picked out by her stylist several weeks ago as part of a group of jewelry. While the good folks over at Bochic won’t say how much the earrings were, they definitely cost a grip! A pair of Bochic earrings starts at $5,000. But no worries about the spending limit of the usually cost conscious First Lady, because when you’re married to the most powerful guy in the country, who’s really paying for anything?
